The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up Wednesday afternoon with shares of Travelers and Walmart seeing positive momentum for the blue-chip average.
The Dow DJIA, -0.34% was most recently trading 29 points (0.1%) higher, as shares of Travelers TRV, +5.83% and Walmart WMT, +0.34% have contributed to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally. Travelers’s shares are up $6.56 (5.5%) while those of Walmart are up $1.76, or 1.2%, combining for a roughly 55-point boost for the Dow. Walt Disney DIS, +1.34%, Intel INTC, +0.13%, and Nike NKE, +0.73% are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the benchmark results in a 6.58-point swing.
