Dollar General Corp. DG, 0.26% announced Friday plans to create about 10,000 new jobs in 2022, which would increase its total workforce by 6%.
The new jobs will come from new stores, distribution center and private fleet growth. The discount retailer had recently announced plans to open 1,110 stores. The stock, which was still inactive in premarket trading, has lost 7.1% over the past three months while the S&P 500 SPX, -1.65% has slipped 3.9%.
