The Dow Jones Industrial Average is in selloff mode Wednesday morning with shares of Visa and Microsoft facing the biggest losses for the blue-chip average.
Shares of Visa V, -4.83% and Microsoft MSFT, -4.95% have contributed to the index’s intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA, -3.43% was most recently trading 398 points, or 1.4%, lower. Visa’s shares are off $8.18 (4.3%) while those of Microsoft have declined $6.05, or 2.8%, combining for a roughly 94-point drag on the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the decline include Salesforce.com Inc. CRM, -4.74%, Chevron CVX, -3.78%, and Apple Inc. AAPL, -4.63%. A $1 move in any of the Dow’s 30 components equates to a 6.58-point swing.
