Fresnillo PLC FRES, +2.88%, a precious metals company, and wired telecommunications services business BT Group PLC BT.A, +2.72% rounded out the top five largest increases as their stocks increased 2.88% and 2.72%, respectively.
Ocado Group PLC OCDO, -3.59%, a food retail company, saw the largest drop of the FTSE 100 constituents, as shares declined 3.59% on Monday.
Shares of gambling industries firm Entain PLC ENT, -3.19% and clothing retail company JD Sports Fashion PLC JD, -2.51% fell 3.19% and 2.51%, respectively.
Whitbread PLC WTB, -2.19%, a hotels company, and advertising/marketing/public relations firm WPP PLC WPP, -2.19% rounded out the top five largest decreases as their stocks dropped 2.19% and 2.19%, respectively.
The pound was up 0.07% against dollar GBPUSD, 0.06% at $1.2107 and 0.09% against the euro UK:GBPEUR at €1.1611.
Brent crude US:BRN00 rallied 1.8% to $113.66, and the yield on the 10-year gilt TMBMKGB-10Y, 2.199% fell 5.351 basis points to 2.199%.
