Goldman Sachs, Nike share gains contribute to Dow’s 100-point climb

Shares of Goldman Sachs and Nike are trading higher Monday afternoon, lifting the Dow Jones Industrial Average into positive territory.

The Dow DJIA, +0.33% was most recently trading 107 points (0.3%) higher, as shares of Goldman Sachs GS, +2.18% and Nike NKE, +2.56% are contributing to the index’s intraday rally. Goldman Sachs’s shares have gained $8.95 (2.3%) while those of Nike are up $2.13, or 2.0%, combining for a roughly 73-point boost for the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the gain are Walgreens Boots WBA, +1.75%, Dow DOW, +1.48%, and 3M MMM, +1.86%. A $1 move in any of the Dow’s 30 components equates to a 6.59-point swing.
