American Express, Nike share losses lead Dow’s nearly 150-point fall

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is falling Wednesday afternoon with shares of American Express and Nike delivering the stiffest headwinds for the index.

Shares of American Express and Nike have contributed to the index’s intraday decline, as the Dow was most recently trading 143 points (0.4%) lower. American Express’s shares have fallen $5.14 (3.4%) while those of Nike have declined $2.06 (1.7%), combining for a roughly 47-point drag on the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the decline are Visa Chevron and Intel A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the benchmark results in a 6.59-point swing.
